Ricky and Donna Kent moved to Clayton, June 15, 1979 to begin Ricky's dream of owning a funeral home. They purchased Godwin Funeral Home in 1982. In 1985, Kent Funeral Home on Eufaula was opened and both business have grown and flourished  After Ricky's passing in February of 2011, it is our mission to continue to carry out his passion and to serve all of the families in this community with the care, compassion and concern they deserve. This Kent family owned and operated business will continue to provide the highest quality of professional service with the personal attention, understanding and compassion needed to help you and your family through the most trying times.

 MEET OUR STAFF
 Donna K. Kent - Donna and Ricky moved to Clayton June 15, 1979 to begin his dream of owning a funeral home. We purchased Godwin Funeral Home in 1982. In 1985 Kent Funeral Home in Eufaula was opened. And both businesses have grown and flourished to this point. I have been given the enormous task of following in Ricky’s footsteps. I will continue to serve the people of Clayton, Eufaula and surrounding areas as we have always done. We appreciate you and your support.



Heather Kent McGowan – Heather is the youngest daughter of the late Ricky Kent and Donna Kent She began work at Kent Funeral Home in April 2011.Although Heather works with us part time now she still helps with funerals as well as in family services. She is devoted to continuing her parents legacy of serving Barbour County and those families in one of their greatest times of need. Heather is married to Robert McGowan and they have four children.  
 


 
David A. “Dal” Lithgow- Dal has been with Kent Funeral Home since January 2009. Dal was raised in the funeral business in Miami, Fl. Dal owned several funeral homes in the Miami area.  Dal is a dual licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is married to  Kathleen Williams Lithgow they have one son, two daughters and 3 grandchildren.  Dal and Kathy attend SouthPoint Church in Eufaula.
 
 
 
 
 Linda Dansby Hicks- Linda has been with Kent Funeral Home since Aug. 2001. She has served her funeral directors apprenticeship. Linda is also known as “one of the twins”. She is married to Nathan Hicks and has one son, Bill (Erin) Hicks and one grandson, Gavin Noah Hicks. Linda and her family are members of Eufaula Church of God.  
 
 
 


    
 Glenda Dansby Merritt- Glenda has worked part time with Kent Funeral Home since June 2003. She works visitations and funerals. Glenda is also known as “one of the twins”. She has two children, Jonathan Merritt and Haley Merritt, and attends Eufaula Church of God.
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
 
Billy E. Jones- Mr. Billy Jones has worked part time with Kent Funeral Home since 2000.  He has worked in the funeral industry for over 35 years. Billy is a licensed funeral director. He lives in Cowarts, Al.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Kent Funeral Home is proud to have all of these people associated with us.  We hope if you have any questions about us or if there is any way we could assist you with funeral services, pre-need planning, military funerals, cremations or whatever your needs maybe, give us a call. We are licensed by the state of Alabama insurance department to sell pre-need funerals and we accept all valid burial and life insurance policies.
